Educated at Rugby School and with a deep love of theatre, Lloyd has been working in the finance industry since 1988.
He describes himself as:

Being a shared ownership property it proved a little more complicated than standard house purchase but Lloyd was able to sort a very good mortgage for us especially myself being the wrong side of fifty.

When we decided to move house we wanted advice on the best options for getting a new mortgage.
How has Lloyd Richards helped you?
Lloyd was able to give advice on the range of mortgages available to us and also which would work best for our family and lifestyle. He was very quick in responding to queries and questions, it was also very useful to have face to face meetings; where we could discuss options in more detail.

Looking for the best deal on a mortgage, and hoping to make the process quicker and easier.
How has Lloyd Richards helped you?
He didn’t, very difficult to contact, and the only thing Lloyd did for us was find the mortgage.

We have eventually moved after a long and painful 9 months, with no assistance with paperwork nor extending the mortgage from Lloyd Richards.
What could they have done better?
Lloyd was impossible to get hold of, I left messages on his house phone, his mobile and also emailed him, to receive no answer.
Lloyd's reply
My client did indeed have a horrendous time with the sale and purchase of her new home. However, all of this was down to the solicitors involved and not the mortgage. The mortgage ( which is my role in all of this ) was provided in a very timely fashion. The offer had to be extended three times by the solicitor ( the lender needed the request to come from the solicitor not the broker ) until finally I had to reapply for a brand new mortgage, and as I felt great empathy towards the clients, I even made sure that they did not have to fund the new valuation fee of £400. As for receiving no answer, I spoke to my client at a number of stages throughout the process, especially when she was not getting answers from the solicitors. I was instrumental in finally making sure that they were kept up to date on an almost daily basis by the conveyancer in charge. At no point did she express disappointment with my service. I think the client may be projecting her anger towards the legal process onto me. However I still wish them all the best and hope they love their new home.
