What were the circumstances that caused you to look for a financial adviser?
I had money to invest from my AVC.
I went on the Government website for trusted advisors and Jason responded and offered his services. A decision that I have never regretted.
How did they help you?
He explains financial matters very clearly, and is always looking for the best returns for your investments. Jason regularly contacts you to let you know if any changes are needed to be made to the portfolio or when there is a downturn in the market to reassure you as to the reasons so you can make informed decisions as an individual or as a pair.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
I have a ten year plan for these investments and the plan is performing above my expectations. I am delighted with the advice and service I have received from Jason, long may it continue.
What could your adviser have done better?
Nothing I can think of. Jason makes all the first moves to telephone or arrange meetings. He is always on the ball and contacts you to let you know how things are progressing and any changes he thinks we should make.

Concerned about being sat on too much cash and wanted to ensure I was being tax efficient.
How did they help you?
In a word, Great. Jason is very thorough, always explains all the options fully and the implications of the decisions to be made and never a pressure sell. He's not pushy at all and I have always found him to be on hand if I have had a question either by phone or email and comes back to me right away. A genuine nice guy that comes across in his work I would say.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
Yes. I have worked with previous advisors but it does feel like Jason cares and has my best interests in mind as we walk through the options to come to the decision.

We wanted to get appropriate life insurance cover for me and my wife. Its generally easy to get a quote for life insurance but difficult to understand how much cover does one need. Hence we decide to get a financial planner.
How did they help you?
"Jason advised us not only on the type of cover we needed but also helped quantify how much we needed. He went through in detail about our needs, expenses, current assets/investments as well as life insurance cover. Our case was rather unique as my son has special needs and we wanted to make sure we had appropriate cover when needed. After advising us on the appropriate cover Jason also helped get very competitive quotes.
Jason also helped us with preliminary advice on setting up a Will and a Trust. He helped set up a meeting with a probate lawyer to go through in detail about types of Wills and Trusts which we can create."

We are very satisfied with the outcome and the advise given by Jason.

What were the circumstances that caused you to look for a financial adviser?
Changes in legislation. My concerns that were I to die, my wife would only collect a small pension.
How did they help you?
Pension planning, modelling and obtaining information from DB pension administrators. Also information of the investment platform.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
I have a lump sum invested in a platform with Novia Financial. I can access it through drawdown as and when required. I will continue to work hopefully for a few more years in a self employed Advisor/Trainer.
What could your adviser have done better?
Difficult to answer that question. The fees could have been lower but looking at the whole result in the round I am pleased with the result rather than wondering why I did it.
