I have enjoyed being involved within the Financial Planning Profession for over thirty years since setting up my own business in the 1990's which enabled me to help clients and firms fulfil their goals and aspirations.
Not only do I really love what we do, our goal is to look to ensure our clients enjoy the lifestyle they deserve as it is not just about the money.
The majority of our clients are owners of successful companies and partnerships where I advise the owners and next generations of the firms. Having come from a background of family owned businesses since the 1930’s I feel we have a greater empathy with family business by understanding the pressure that presents itself when running a firm.
Whilst my career has been solely within financial services, I was originally with major institutions of Norwich Union (now Aviva) then with Legal & General. This was before establishing and running an in-house Financial Service for a large regional, solicitor. Today we look after many trusts, several of which for over 20 years which is due to my involvement with the legal profession.
I have always been an advocate for professional financial services qualifications coupled with relevant experience in order to be able to truly advise clients. Not only am I a Chartered Financial Planner, a Certified Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Personal Society (FPFS) but I was also a Main Board Director for 6 years to the predecessor of the Personal Finance Society.
Outside of work I enjoy travelling, the theatre and golf in addition to following Wasps and Arsenal.
