I started my financial services career with Imperial Life of Canada in 1970 and then held senior positions with Crown Life, Prime Health (now Vitality), and Municipal Mutual.
From 1990 to 2017, I ran my own award-winning independent financial advice firm, Arch Financial Planning Ltd, which subsequently became part of Flying Colours. I’m still actively involved in my work as a financial adviser which I now view more as a vocation than a career. I concentrate on advising older clients with capital to invest, and I’m qualified to advise on care fees funding.
I’m both a Chartered and Certified financial planner and hold Fellowships with the Chartered Insurance Institute, the Personal Finance Society and, until a few years ago, the Pensions Management Institute. I’m also a Chartered Fellow (Financial Planning) of the Institute for Securities & Investment.
